Medication Errors, MAR Audits & High-Risk Orders

This course teaches North Carolina adult care home administrators and supervisory staff how to identify medication errors, perform meaningful MAR audits, recognize high-risk medication orders and situations, and respond appropriately when discrepancies are discovered. The curriculum emphasizes real-world adult care operations and resident safety over advanced pharmacology, training learners to systematically evaluate MARs, medication orders, and records to identify errors. The course adheres to North Carolina’s current adult care home rules under 10A NCAC 13F, Section .1000, ensuring all training aligns with state requirements for medication administration and aide competency.
