Falls, Elopement & Incident Response

This course teaches North Carolina adult care home administrators and leadership staff how to respond appropriately when a resident falls, goes missing, elopes, or experiences another significant incident—and, just as importantly, how to determine why it happened and what must change afterward. The course focuses heavily on the difference between completing an incident report and actually managing the resident-safety problem. North Carolina rules specifically address resident supervision, reassessment following significant changes such as repeated falls, missing-resident response, and accident/incident reporting.
