About
This course teaches North Carolina adult care home administrators and leadership staff how to safely oversee the care of residents with diabetes, recognize dangerous changes in condition, identify problems with blood glucose monitoring and insulin orders, and ensure staff practices match current physician orders and facility policy. Focused specifically on assisted-living operations and oversight, it addresses NC regulatory training requirements for staff including insulin administration principles, infection control, and the management of newer technology like CGMs. Participants will learn to evaluate patterns in results and ensure proper clinical follow-up within their administrative scope.
