About
This course teaches North Carolina adult care home administrators and leadership staff how to lead teams effectively without becoming responsible for completing everyone else’s work. The focus should be on delegation, decision-making, accountability, escalation, and solving operational problems at the correct level. Learners should understand how to give staff appropriate authority, require follow-through, intervene when necessary, and avoid creating a workplace where every minor decision has to reach the administrator. Good leadership does not mean personally fixing every problem. Good leadership means building a team capable of fixing problems correctly.
